James Nesci Obituary

James V. Nesci, age 71, of New Castle DE, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2025.

James was born in New Castle, DE, son of the late Nicholas Nesci, Sr. and Rose (Mele) Nesci.

Jimmy was an avid music lover and talented drummer. He had a great sense of humor, huge personality and as witty as they come. Whenever you were around him, you were laughing. He was a skilled master plumber and dedicated himself to his loyal customers for 30+ years in the New Castle and Wilmington areas. He enjoyed the beach and surf fishing with friends and family.

Jimmy will be forever loved, truly missed and never forgotten.

James is survived by his daughters, Angela Rose Nesci and Ashley Antonia Josephine Stepp; grandsons, Peter McCarron, Jr. and Kian McCarron; brother, Frank and his wife Betty; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret and Clara, and brothers, Richard and Nicholas Nesci Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2pm-6pm at The Elks Lodge 307, 1310 Carruthers Lane, Wilmington, DE 19803.
